About
Anger is one of the most important emotions we feel, but also the most misunderstood and mis-directed. When our strong willed child feels angry, most of us try to calm them down, distract them, get angry and yell back or talk them out of it by rationalizing. This ends up invalidating them and breaks the vital link to their inner compass. I hope this course supports you understand more about anger. That anger is a messenger that something matters. That we want something to stop or change. That there is an unmet need. The challenge is that we learned unskillful protective patterns to cope with anger in our past so we have a hard time when our child feels and expresses it. With understanding comes hope for more connection.
